In a nutshell: children learn best in a space that's been prepared so they can do things for themselves.
It's always child-centered. Kids are free to explore the materials they choose, at their own pace, while teachers guide and encourage.

Daily rhythm
Days have a rhythm kids can count on, from arrival to pick-up. Full days run 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our story
I've been caring for children for 20 years. I started in the kitchen at a large child care center, taught in home-based programs and small centers, and earned my Montessori certification from CEM in Tijuana before opening schools of my own.

Yes. In California, children must be immunized to attend home-based child care and child care centers.
See California's requirementsNorth Park-Howard has at least 2 staff for every 12 children. Ocean Beach has 2 staff for every 12 children in each classroom, except our 3/4 year old classroom, which has 1 teacher for 12 children. At any child care, ratios should never go beyond 1 qualified teacher for 12 children.
Compare ratio rules (PDF)At North Park-Howard, we have limited spots for children under two, starting at 18 months. At Ocean Beach, our license starts children at 2 years old.
At Ocean Beach, children under 3 in our 2 year old classroom don't need to be potty trained, but it's required for our 3 and 3/4 year old classrooms. At all our schools, we start potty training together once we agree your child is ready. It's a team effort, and accidents happen!
Yes. Both schools carry general liability insurance and accidental medical coverage.
Yes. We accept CDA and YMCA financial assistance at North Park-Howard and Ocean Beach. Ask us about North Park-Swift.
